Mayor's Welcome Message

     This city of approximately 2000 residents located in the foothills of the Ouachita Mountains is progressing with balanced growth.  We have the amenities of a small city plus the natural beauty of a rural mountain area.
     Glenwood has two medical facilities, an Athletic Club, and a Country Club/Golf Course that is open to the public.  The city has all of the opportunities for shopping that are found in a large commercial area.  We have groceries, medical products, building supplies, car and equipment dealers, and good places to eat.
     Glenwood is a city surrounded by lakes and forests.  It has the beautiful Caddo River flowing through it.  The residents are friendly and like to tell you they don’t need a vacation as they enjoy one all year long including fishing, swimming, and hunting.  Plus we have the beauty of the changing seasons.

     Come visit us.  You will want to stay.
